My one year old is not only psychic and precocious, she's a little creepy

When we drive up to my in-laws house for Sunday dinner every week, we pass a graveyard. Yesterday as we were driving by, we realized something: Every single time we pass the graveyard, Lily starts to sing (unprompted), "Ashes, ashes, ashes, ashes."

That IS creepy! She's done that with me, too!

Creepily awesome.

To what tune?

The tune is her own variation on "Ring around the Rosies." She just sings ashes, ashes over and over again.

Ah. The joys of raising a goth one year old.

That's what I was wondering. Growing up (in Canada) I never sang it with the "ashes, ashes" verse.

Rather it is:

Ring around the rosey,
A pocket full of posies.
Hush-a, hush-a.
We all fall down.

I never realised that there was such variation in the verses. Check out the wikipedia entry on it. Its pretty interesting.
