That woman creeps me out on every level possible.

I just don't get why anyone listens to a woman who wants to:

-have creationism taught in schools
-ban books
-outlaw abortion, even in rape and incest cases or where the mother's life is in danger
-No sex education at all
-who thinks global warming is not caused by humans (monkeys, god?)
-only opposes bridges to nowhere once there is a public outcry and if she didn't reverse her position she would be burnt at the stake

Seriously, if mccain/palin win, I'm moving to Canada.

Oh, and I would have been Roller Texas Palin.

Creeptastic.

just a heads up in case this discussion decides to go all political (and, hence, BALLISTIC, like I've seen on everyone else's blog) both EXTREMELY conservative AND EXTREMELY liberal people read my blog. Meaning, it could get ugly if you go there! But, as long as ya'll are aware of this, I'll let you go to it!

kreig, some of the things you've stated are taken out of context...

if a woman's life is in danger, abortion is up to you.

she wants sex education, just she wants abstinance to be the main topic, not a bad idea. Pre marital Sex has gotten way too okay, and it's just not.

sure global warming might have something to do with us humans, but if you look at the history of the earth, uhhh this has happened before. Remember? Oh and there weren't any humans when it happened. So...

Go ahead and move to Canada, this country would be better off without you liberals.

haha! I know you didn't mean to be funny, kathy, but Craig actually *is* from Canada, so it was funny to tell him to go there! that's all. go ahead and get back to yelling at each other.

I'm not creeped out so much by Palin herself as by the bizarre farce of a selection/vetting process that preceded her nomination. And it's creepy how the Republican Party is fawning over her like she's the Second Coming of Christ.

The first problem with promoting abstinence in sex ed classes is that it is ineffective. Studies show that teenagers that are given an abstinence-based sex education are not really any less likely to engage in premarital sex, but they ARE more likely to do so without any protection whatsoever. I don't think anyone imagines that Bristol Palin didn't get abstinence preached to her, for instance.

The second problem with abstinence-based sex education is that not everyone thinks premarital sex is wrong, as Kathy does. Is it any more fair for other parents' kids to be taught to be ashamed of having sex with their boyfriends and girlfriends just because parents like Kathy think they should, than for Kathy's kids to be taught that premarital sex is okay?

The point is, premarital sex happens, and telling kids not to have sex does not have the desired effect. (Desired by certain people, of course). School boards need to be more pragmatic about the issue and realize that a well-rounded sex ed curriculum serves their students' needs better than taking a hard-line stance—a hard-line stance that not everyone agrees with anyway.

As for global warming: The fact is that most scientists believe that humans are strongly to blame for current climate change, whatever the reasons for historical climate change were. And that's a good thing! That means we have a better chance of stopping the climate change than if the cause were volcanic eruptions or something out of our control.

I'm against McCain/Palin because I disagree with them on nearly every major issue; because they do not respect or represent me or the millions of voters like me; and because they are more of the same, and the Bush administration has been a worldwide catastrophe that we do not need to see repeated.

Okay you two parrots (Krieg and Jer) for the Move-on/Daily Kos blogs, spout your garbage elswehere. No politics here. In case you haven't noticed Kerry chooses to make this site as inoffensive to either side as possible.

yes, mom, but the REAL question is, **what is your Palin name?!**

Anonymous said...

Um... Kerry specifically said we could go ahead with the politics. IF WE DARED! DUN DUN DUN DUNNN, etc.

Anywayz! On topic:

My Palin name would be "Missle Blunt Palin."

Plus: Tina Fey as Sarah Palin. As if they would ask anyone else.

Yes, Kerry is inoffensive, your comment, however, was not. If you disagree with something one of us has said, you can say so without getting nasty about it.

Oh, and by the way, we're not "parrots" for anyone or any blog. We're both Kerry's friends.

And the video is hilarious. I love Tina. Love love love.
