Based on the cover and title of this book (and its 400-pagishness), I REALLY didn't want to read it.

But, as it turns out, NOT reading the book would have been a big mistake.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm always looking for another good book to read! Seriously. Blogging is my first obsession and reading is my second obsession. TV? What is TV?

I put it down before I finished the second page. Should I try it again?

It just seemed really cheesy. And kind of a rip-off of Robin Hobb's Farseer trilogy.

Hmm. I'll have to try it.

I haven't read the Farseer trilogy, so that didn't occur to me, Sean.

But after I finished the book and found out that the author lives in Utah, I realized there was this fascinating commentary on homosexuality in the Mormon church totally embedded in the storyline. Maybe I was over-reading there, but it made me get weepy.

Really? Good eh. I love your blog better than good reads. Sigh.
