Who needs pictures of your babies' first birthdays, right?

the data recovery company found *some* of my stuff. not all. he, too, blames it all on Bill Gates. Windows Vista programming flaw, he says.

so.

any suggestions on the best Mac laptop to buy?

me, too! but I'm not allowed to cry because I'm still in caffeine-withdrawal and if I cry my headache will turn into uncontrollable vomiting and I'll end up in the hospital AGAIN. This week SUX!

(BUT it's a really good thing I sent you that data because now it's in my gmail! Some other data is lost, probably, but I sent you all the really important stuff, I think. So, YAY for you being nerdy enough to want to read it!! :)

(and I did have most of the *really* important stuff backed up. but there was a ton of tiny stuff that I'm not sure I ever thought was important enough to back up alone. And if I'd lost just one or two of those files, no biggie. But to lose 2000 of them?! Turns out that is not great.)

Hey Kerry,

I'll ask my boss about the Macs, I use them every day at work... not to say that they are my favorite, but they work well. I'll see what he recommends since he is a TOTAL Mac freak fan!

any mac would be better than a pc.

I love our MacBook pro. We have had a 15" one but the screen was just a bit too big for comfortable laptop work. The 13" is the most perfect size and weight.

My desktop is still a PC. I curse at it at least once a day.

I am so so sorry.

I probably have a bunch of your pictures on my computer that I've gotten from Steve over the years, hopefully they're some of the ones you need!
