Some things need to be documented because I won't believe them next summer

  2. oh, you removed your comment! I was going to comment on it!

Oh, well. It's true, americans don't really know really *high* gas prices. Although, the exchange rate is really tricky with the UK. I've found that in terms of *spending power* $1 = one pound, no matter what the exchange rate *says* the dollar is worth. So our summer prices of $4.50 a gallon hurt our pocketbooks about as much as four pounds hurt y'alls. Though, you have MUCH higher gas prices than that with sucketh!

I am SO LOVING this strange phenom of $1.99 gas, though! Twenty dollars for a tank of gas instead of eighty! it's just awesome.

  3. I deleted it cos I read it through later and thought it sounded a little mean, and since I didn't mean to be mean - it went!
The maths is all still up on my blog though.

  4. oh, one other difference between here and the UK that I thought of this morning. in the UK if you don't want to drive there are, like, *options* you have--public transportation that is actually good and stuff.

here, you just have to drive no matter what. there aren't any good/ feasible options. sorta sux.
