Body fluid meltdown

was just reduced to a sobbing heap of psycho on the couch.

cause: unable to remove his spiderman costume in time, Sam had diarrhea all over the floor. As he was sobbing cause it was stinging him and I was rushing to get him into the bathtub before the acid burns made it through his skin, Lily ran in and started ice skating through it. Flies started swarming around. And then Lily started running. Through the entire house. Brown liquid footprints covering every surface as she sprinted. If I'd had about seven arms I might have been able to staunch the damage.

but I didn't. so I couldn't.

hence the sobbing heap of psycho on the couch.

So, sometimes when my kids get the stomach flu like that, I make them sleep in the bathroom. I put a crib mattress down...but if it is really bad, they get to sleep in the tub. Naked. I do give them towels though. Sorry that you are having to deal with this. Hope that you are all better soon!

Okay. I may just steal Hilary's idea some day.

Oh, how I winced as I read this! That was an experience worthy of multiple melt-downs. Hope you can shake off that yeuchy feeling soon. ~hugs~

And you deserve a good meltdown, you're a good mother and some things are just too much for one's sanity to deal with. Thus the staring at walls, or singing going slowly crazing songs. Piano playing yourself into another dimension helps, too. Hang in there, we hope you can recoupe some energy for the next bout coming. We're with you.
Love, your parents

Light a match and run. Just kidding. Man, those are the dark days of mommydom. Hose 'em off, and hang in there.

Even if you have 30 more children, this will never happen again.se
