You don't know me, but I found your blog on Segullah, so sorry to lurk. I'm a professor too, and I've had to stop reading my ratings on ratemyprofessor.com because some of the comments are just plain mean and whiny! My class isn't an honors course, but it is a HARD course, and students complain about having to read the text and study! It seems like only the whiners go to that site. No chili peppers either....

I don't read my comments, either. Mostly it's the one's who hate you that take the time to fill out a review. I like how they have this new function where professors can fight back, though! I might just use it one of these days!

I read the reviews. Most of the negative reviews are because your students seem to whine a lot about how difficult your class is.

I used to get chili peppers before I had a baby. Now I get NADA. Thus, I am not teaching this semester.
